The two Quippo employees who are now in the captivity of ULFA-Independent are likely to soon return back to their families.

In a WhatsApp conversation with Northeast Live’s Dibrugarh correspondent Ripunjoy Das, Kaushik Phukon, the son of Reboti Phukon who is the childhood friend ULFA-Independent chief Paresh Baruah, said the ULFA has in a way assured to release the two abducted employees unharmed.

Kaushik Phukon who has been reportedly playing a crucial role of a mediator between Quippo and Ulfa Independent in a bid to secure the safe release of the two employees – drilling Superintendent Pranab Kumar Gogoi and radio operator Ram Kumar, also claimed that Quippo has agreed to recruit 5000 youths from Assam as per demand raised by ULFA Independent chief Paresh Baruah.

It may be mentioned that Phukan has been updating the media on positive developments on the fate of the abducted employees in the last couple of days.

The two Quippo employees were abducted from Arunachal Pradesh’s Changlang district in December 2020 and have been in captivity since then.
