Ten more people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Tripura, taking the total number of cases in the state to 242.
The number of active cases stands at 74 while 165 people have been discharged and 3 have migrated to other states.
“1020 samples have been tested today for COVID-19, out of which 1️⃣0️⃣ people detected #POSITIVE,” Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb tweeted late Wednesday night.
“5 returnees from Chennai & Bangalore, 4 returnees from Mumbai & 1 railway pantry staff,” Deb added.

Earlier on Tuesday night, 23 people had tested positive for the deadly virus in the state.
Among them 18 people returned from Maharashtra by train and 5 others came in contact with other positive patients.
