Over 6,000 migrant labourers stranded in Arunachal Pradesh handed over to Assam Police

The Itanagar Police handed over 6,000 migrant labourers from Assam stranded in Arunachal Pradesh to the Assam Police on Friday. A total of 6,156 labourers, 5,627 from Naharlagun and 529
The Itanagar Police handed over 6,000 migrant labourers from Assam stranded in Arunachal Pradesh to the Assam Police on Friday.
A total of 6,156 labourers, 5,627 from Naharlagun and 529 from Itanagar were handed over to the Assam police.
Also the capital police along with the District Administration escorted 468 labourers from Naharlagun through the Banderdewa Check gate and handed over to the Assam Police.
For the last 6 days Itanagar Police has been carrying out this exercise of transporting migrant labourers over the border, moreover the capital police has given directions to the migrant labourers and their employers to report to the nearest police station if they are planning to move out of the state.
