The Manipur Congress delegation led by former Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh met Union Home Minister Amit Shah to discuss on the issue of Citizenship Amendment Bill.

According to sources, the Manipur Congress registered its stiff opposition to the Bill and the meeting remained inconclusive.

The meeting between Amit Shah, representatives of the political parties of the State and civil society groups started late Tuesday night and lasted for almost 45 minutes.

NEDA Convenor Himanta Biswa Sarma was also present during the meeting.
