A deeply disturbing case of child sexual abuse has emerged from the Konapathar area of Bordumsa in Arunachal Pradesh’s Changlang district. A 12-year-old girl is 4 months pregnant as a result of repeated sexual assault by the owner of the house where she worked as domestic help.

The accused has been identified as Amarjit Deuri (45), a resident of Bordumsa.

The minor had been employed as a domestic worker at Deuri’s residence for the past 6 years.

Approximately two months ago, Deuri reportedly sent the girl back to her family in Filobari, Assam, under suspicious circumstances.

Today Amarjit Deuri visited the girl’s home in Filobari, allegedly in an attempt to manage the situation.
