Are you a dog lover who adores being around furry friends, but wonders how to make life more enriching for them? Imagine a dating app—not for you, but for your dog. Sounds unbelievable? Welcome to the world of Doffair, India’s first-ever dog dating and social networking app that’s creating a buzz among pet parents across urban India.

In a groundbreaking move, India has introduced a platform solely focused on helping dogs find companionship, playmates, and even emotional comfort. As reported by News18, the app aims to tackle a serious yet often overlooked issue—pet loneliness.

Maurya Kampeli, the founder of Doffair, told News18, “I could never keep a dog myself, but whenever I visited friends who had pets, I saw how lonely those animals were. In today’s urban lifestyle, even animals don’t get time to socialise.”

This insight led to extensive conversations with veterinarians, groomers, and pet parents, where the Doffair team discovered that many dogs experience stress, anxiety, and behavioural issues due to social isolation. Kampeli emphasized, “We realised this isn’t just about playing or mating—it’s about emotional well-being. Dogs also need social interaction, just like us.”

Launched in March 2025, Doffair is not merely a “Tinder for dogs.” It serves as a comprehensive social ecosystem that connects not only pets but also pet parents, local pet service providers, and veterinarians.
What started with just 100 trial users has now exploded to over 10,000 downloads in two months, boosted by viral videos from pet events shared on social media.

How does it work?

Users create a profile for their dog, including details like breed, energy level, temperament, and preferences. The app then matches dogs based on these traits. Filters such as location, behaviour, and interest allow owners to arrange playdates, walks, or simply time to socialise. As News18 notes, this isn’t about romantic matchmaking but about offering companionship, comfort, and socialisation.

One early user’s story has become a source of inspiration for the Doffair team. A woman, desperate to find a friend for her dog, had tried every route—from WhatsApp groups to vet referrals—with no success. Then she discovered Doffair. In a feedback call, she told the team, “You’re doing a great job.” It was a moment of true validation for the app’s mission.

Doffair doesn’t compromise on safety. Each user must go through mobile number verification, and provide their pet’s photograph and vaccination certificate. Suspicious profiles can be reported and are reviewed immediately. In addition, Doffair is partnering with vets and pet professionals to educate users about ethical breeding and responsible pet ownership.

The app is seeing a surge in popularity in metro cities like Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. The team maintains a strong presence on social media and continues to evolve the platform through user feedback and interactive sessions.

In an age where human relationships are often mediated through screens, Doffair is flipping the script—using technology to make life better not just for people, but for their four-legged companions as well.
So, the next time your dog seems bored or lonely, know that now there’s an app for that.
