Myanmarese National with Manipur Aadhaar Card Held in Mizoram with Heroin Worth Rs 90 Lakh

In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, Assam Rifles and Mizoram Police on June 24 arrested a Myanmarese national in Hiangmun, Saitual district, Mizoram, with heroin worth Rs. 90.75 lakh and an Aadhaar card issued in Manipur, an Assam Rifles release said.
Authorities handed over both the accused and the seized contraband to Ngopa Police Station for further investigation.
In another operation on June 25, Assam Rifles recovered two packets of Heroin No. 4 weighing 20.9 grams from the general area of Zote in Champhai district. The heroin, along with two apprehended individuals and a vehicle, was handed over to the Excise and Narcotics Department in Champhai for further legal action.
