UNICEF India Chief Meets Assam CM In Guwahati, Discusses Child Welfare Issues and Other Development Initiatives

Both leaders explored ways to scale Assam's best practices so they could be adopted by other states across the country.

UNICEF India Country Representative Cynthia McCaffrey on Tuesday met Assam Chief Minister. Himanta Biswa Sarma at his office in Lok Sewa Bhawan, Dispur and discussed way to strengthen collaborative efforts aimed at the overall welfare and development of Assam.

Both leaders explored ways to scale Assam’s best practices so they could be adopted by other states across the country. They also discussed UNICEF’s support in enhancing the Chief Minister’s Dashboard and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Cell. Additionally, the meeting included talks on potential partnerships with the CSR Authority of Assam and other future collaborations.
