But a recent viral video is stirring concern after drawing attention to a small but alarming warning found on the packaging of some ramen products: “Warning: Cancer and Reproductive Harm.”
The video, shared on Instagram by the user ‘omggotworms’, shows someone flipping over various ramen packets to highlight the tiny caution label printed in fine print. Since its release, the clip has garnered over 7,000 reactions and has been widely circulated on social media, prompting a wave of public debate.
“Wait. Ramen noodles come with this warning? Cancer + reproductive harm?? Read the labels carefully,” reads the post’s caption, which has left many viewers stunned. While some expressed shock, others pointed out that the health risks of processed foods like instant noodles are already well-known.
One user commented, “Nearly everything we eat can be harmful in excess. I have ramen a few times a year—moderation is key.”
Another questioned, “It doesn’t even feel healthy while eating it. Why choose this over regular spaghetti?”
