They will be produced before a court in Shillong within 7 days.
According to police sources, Silome James is a property dealer who had rented out a flat to Vishal Singh Chauhan, one of the prime accused in the case. The same flat had reportedly been used by Sonam Raghuvanshi, the wife of the Raja Raghuvanshi and a co-accused, before her arrest.
The other suspect, Balbir Ahirbar is a security guard of the apartment complex.
While, Silome James was apprehended from Bhonrasa Toll gate, in Dewas District of Madhya Pradesh at around 7.30 PM on Saturday while trying to flee, Balbir Ahirbar a security guard cum carpenter was arrested from Ashok Nagar district on Sunday.
Police sources disclosed that CCTV footage captured the property dealer and leasee, Silome James, removing a bag belonging to Sonam from the flat after her arrest. His arrest is linked to the disappearance of several items believed to be important in the investigation.
Police later recovered the black bag of Sonam Raghuvanshi which was fully charred. Forensic teams collected samples from the charred remains.
