Raja Raghuvanshi Was Hit First by Vishal Then Akash and Finally By Anand, Sonam Ran As Raja Screamed: SP Vivek Syiem

It was three hits with the machetes from Vishal, Akash and Anand that killed Raja Raghuvanshi. Sonam Raghuvanshi his wife was standing in front of him and it is she who signaled Raj, Vishal, Anand and Akash to kill him. Raja was taken by surprise when he was suddenly attacked by these men because Raja, totally unaware of their murder plan, was planning to go to Dawki with them.
All these details were revealed today by Meghalaya Police after the recreation of the crime scene of the brutal murder of Indore tourist Raja Raghuvanshi in Sohra by Sonam, her alleged lover Raj and 3 others during his honeymoon.
The reconstruction of the crime scene was successful. The SIT today visited several locations to re-play how the accused did it. They started from the parking lot where they had kept their two-wheelers, then went to the viewpoint and recreated who was standing where just before the murder.
Speaking to the media sharing details, East Khasi Hills SP, Vivek Syiem said that Vishal Chauhan was the first to hit Raja, Akash Rajput hit him second and lastly, Anand Kurme hit him.
SP Vivek Syiem said, “Raja was taken completely by surprise when they attacked him. Sonam was standing in front of Raja. Vishal was standing to his right, Akash was behind him slightly to the left, and Anand was standing to his left. There were three blows, the first by Vishal, the second by Anand and the last blow by Akash. When the first hit was given blood came out and Raja fell down, Sonam ran off the spot because Raja was screaming. Later the body was thrown by the 3.”
He said, “At the parking lot where they had kept their two-wheelers, Sonam had given the 3 accused the signal that they should finish the job today.”
“We have ascertained that one more machete still needs to be recovered. The accused replayed how they threw the machete. SDRF are trying to recover the second weapon. We have ascertained what happened to Raja’s mobile phone. It was damaged by Sonam and then by Vishal,” he added.
The SP said that this whole thing was played out and the police have got a very clear picture now.
