According to sources closely linked to the case, Sonam paid Rs 15,000 in cash to contract killers and promised a further Rs 20 lakh after the task was done.

Sonam Raghuvanshi was so bitter that she had a Plan B ready to ensure that Raja Raghuvanshi whom she had married just 12 days ago is dead.

The murder of Raja Raghuwanshi is gradually revealing layers of deception, betrayal, and cold-hearted planning. The alleged mastermind, his wife Sonam Raghuwanshi, is now at the centre of a chilling crime that began merely five days after their wedding. Police investigations have unearthed damning evidence pointing to not just a single plan, but two separate murder plots to ensure Raja’s death.

According to sources closely linked to the case, Sonam paid Rs 15,000 in cash to contract killers and promised a further Rs 20 lakh after the task was done. Most disturbingly, she witnessed her husband’s murder with her own eyes. Raja Raghuvanshi’s body was recovered from a gorge on June 2, while investigators believe he was killed on May 23.

Adding to the grim narrative, police have now revealed that Sonam had also prepared a “Plan B.” If the hired killers failed, she planned to push Raja off a mountain cliff during a staged selfie moment. Both plans to ensure that there would be no escape for Raja.

The accused Akash Rajput (19), Vishal Singh Chauhan (22), and Anand Kurmiare, are friends of Raj Kushwaha (21), Sonam’s alleged lover. When Sonam discussed her brutal plan with Raj, he hired the contract killers. Although Raj did not accompany them to Shillong, he attended Raja’s funeral in an apparent move to avoid suspicion and was seen consoling Sonam’s father at the funeral.

Another twist emerged when it was found that Sonam returned to Indore after the murder. Before surrendering to authorities, she stayed in a rented room arranged by Raj. However, when Meghalaya police began rounding up the contract killers from Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, Sonam swiftly moved to Ghazipur and surrendered.

A senior Indore police officer collaborating with the Meghalaya team shared that Raj had developed cold feet at the last moment. He attempted to dissuade his associates from executing the plan and cancelled his trip to Meghalaya. Despite this, Sonam remained adamant, booked tickets, and pressed the killers to carry out the act, promising the full payment.

After her surrender in Ghazipur, Sonam was taken by the Meghalaya police via Patna, Kolkata, and Guwahati to Shillong. She reportedly remained silent during the entire journey. Now, police are preparing to recreate the crime scene with Sonam at the exact location where Raja was believed to have been murdered.

The investigation is far from over. While several shocking facts have surfaced, many key questions remain unanswered including whether anyone else may have been involved in the planning or execution of the crime. The authorities continue to dig deeper, determined to bring the entire truth to light and deliver justice to Raja Raghuwanshi and his family.
