NH-10 from Sevoke to Rangpo to Shut from June 7 Evening Over Safety Concerns

As part of the new rules, only vehicles with a laden weight of up to 14.5 metric tonnes (MT) will be allowed to ply on the highway.
The National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. (NHIDCL) has announced that NH-10 from Sevoke to Rangpo will be closed to traffic from 6 PM on June 7, citing urgent safety concerns. The traffic restrictions will remain in effect until further notice, impacting all classes of vehicles.
The directive, issued by NHIDCL’s Project Monitoring Unit (PMU, aims to prevent potential hazards due to unsafe vehicle movement on this vital stretch.
As part of the new rules, only vehicles with a laden weight of up to 14.5 metric tonnes (MT) will be allowed to ply on the highway. Heavier vehicles will not be permitted to operate on this section during the restriction period.
NHIDCL also noted that the District Administration may make necessary traffic arrangements to ensure smooth vehicular movement around the affected zone.
