Tripura YTF: YTF activists locked the gates of the DM office complex in Udaipur, the district headquarters of Gomati.
Tipra Motha party’s youth wing YTF has issued one-week ultimatum to Tripura government over Gomati DM allegedly snubbing the party founder and royal scion Pradyot Kishore Debbarma by refusing to meet his.
Speaking to Northeast Live on the sidelines of a press conference in Agartala on Monday evening, Suraj Debbarma, president of the Youth Tipra Federation (YTF), has given a one-week ultimatum to the Tripura government demanding action against Gomati District Magistrate Tarit Kanti Chakma for his alleged misbehaviour with Pradyot Kishore.
Earlier in the day as a mark of protest, YTF activists locked the gates of the DM office complex in Udaipur, the district headquarters of Gomati.
Despite heavy rain, thousands of YTF members gathered at the protest site, showcasing the organization’s strength and discontent.
Suraj Debbarma warned that if no action is taken within a week, the organization will launch massive statewide agitations.
He further added that the responsibility for any unrest would lie with the state government and Chief Minister Manik Saha.
The incident has added fuel to the political tensions in the state, with Tipra Motha supporters demanding respect and accountability from administrative officials
