In a union that blends cricketing glory with political legacy, Rinku Singh, the explosive Kolkata Knight Riders batter, will marry Priya Saroj, India’s youngest woman MP, on November 18.
According to India TV, the ring ceremony will be held on June 8 at a luxurious seven-star hotel in Lucknow, attended only by close family members. The wedding is scheduled for November 18 at the lavish Hotel Taj in Varanasi, with top names from politics, sports, cinema, and business expected to be present.
Talks about the duo’s marriage first surfaced in January 2024, after Priya’s father, Tufani Saroj, confirmed that their family had held “meaningful talks” with Rinku’s family. According to India TV Digital, Tufani had clarified, “Yes, the talks are on, but the engagement hasn’t happened yet.” At that time, Priya was in Thiruvananthapuram for work.
The Times of India also reported that the families had finalised the dates, with both sides preparing for a grand celebration. The wedding is expected to draw several Samajwadi Party leaders and cricketing icons, making it one of the biggest social events of the year.
Who is Priya Saroj?
At just 25, Priya became the youngest woman MP in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, winning the Machhlishahr seat in Uttar Pradesh. A lawyer by training, she has worked at the Supreme Court and holds a law degree from Amity University, Noida. She completed her schooling at Air Force Golden Jubilee Institute in New Delhi and graduated from Delhi University.

Rinku Singh shot to fame in IPL 2023 when he smashed five consecutive sixes in the final over against Gujarat Titans, scripting the highest-ever last-over chase in IPL history. His cool temperament and raw power made him an overnight sensation.
