Arunachal: Tragic Landslide on NH-13 Claims 7 Lives, Pregnant Woman And Children Among Dead

Arunachal Landslide: Mama Natung expressed deep sorrow in a Facebook post, urging people to avoid night travel during the monsoon.

In a heart-wrenching incident, seven people including a pregnant woman and children, lost their lives last night after a landslide swept a Brezza car into a deep gorge on NH-13 between Bana and Seppa in Arunachal Pradesh.

The car was carrying two families when the disaster struck, with the victims identified as Sankar Aka, also known as Sanju Badi (32), his wife Tasum Badi, their daughter Kachung Badi (5), son Nicha Badi (2).

And the other family identified as Sichi Yame included a pregnant woman and two children.

As per reports, a nearby Sumo vehicle was also affected by the landslide but narrowly escaped the disaster. No casualties were reported from that vehicle.

Arunachal Pradesh Home Minister Mama Natung expressed deep sorrow in a Facebook post, urging people to avoid night travel during the monsoon and remain vigilant.

“My heartfelt condolences go out to the bereaved families… May the departed souls rest in peace. Om Shanti Shanti,” he wrote.

As monsoon rains continue, authorities are ramping up safety measures along the NH-13 stretch to prevent further tragedies.
