A shocking incident of sexual harassment has come to light in Shillong’s Umsohsun area, where a masked man was caught on CCTV targeting schoolgirls. The footage shows the man lifting the skirts of unsuspecting students and recording the act on his mobile phone.

The incident occurred on Friday morning in a narrow lane within the locality. The video reveals that the perpetrator deliberately loitered in the area, concealed his face with a mask, and waited for the schoolchildren to pass before committing the act.

The footage captures the calculated nature of the crime. The suspect appears to have chosen the location carefully and timed his actions with precision. His behaviour has triggered widespread outrage among residents and the general public, who have demanded immediate action.

Speaking to North East Live, Superintendent of Police for East Khasi Hills, Vivek Syiem, confirmed that the police have initiated an investigation. “We are closely examining the incident and are working to identify the person involved.” he stated.
