18-Year-Old Found Hanging in West Tripura, Investigation Underway

In a tragic and shocking incident, the body of an 18-year-old youth was found hanging early Friday morning in the Kholabari area under the Bamutiya Police Outpost in the West Tripura district.

The discovery has sent shockwaves through the local community. Local residents were reportedly the first to spot the hanging body and promptly alerted the authorities. Officer-in-Charge of Bamutiya Police Outpost, Anthony Jamatia, along with a police team, rushed to the scene and began an investigation.

The police recovered the body and sent it to the Mohanpur Social Health Centre for a post-mortem examination. The grim circumstances surrounding the family have deepened the community’s grief over the incident.

Meanwhile, Malina, a family member of the deceased youth, stated that someone had called him, and he reportedly left home after having dinner at around 11 PM on Thursday night. The investigation is ongoing.
