This achievement happened because of a collaboration with the London-based UK China Film Colab Distribution Company.

In a landmark moment for Karbi and Assamese cinema as a whole, the Karbi language film Kangbo Aloti (The Lost Path) has made history by securing theatrical and distribution rights in the United Kingdom and China.

This achievement happened because of a collaboration with the London-based UK China Film Colab Distribution Company. Now for the first time a Karbi film will reach audiences in these major international markets.

Directed by Khanjan Kishore Nath, Kangbo Aloti explores cultural narratives rooted in Karbi heritage. Now global viewers will get a glimpse into a lesser-known yet rich indigenous community from Northeast India.

The film’s international release will represent a significant milestone not only for Karbi-language storytelling but also for the broader Assamese film industry, which continues to gain recognition on the world stage.

As anticipation builds for its overseas screenings, Kangbo Aloti is poised to inspire other regional filmmakers to pursue global opportunities and showcase Northeast India’s rich cultural heritage to the world.
