Hailing from Imphal, Rajkumar is linked to a case registered in Imphal as part of the broader Manipur riots probe.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested a 21-year-old man from Manipur, identified as Rajkumar Mypaksana, in Thalassery, Kerala, on Friday evening in connection with the ongoing investigation into the 2023 ethnic violence in Manipur.

As per reports, NIA officials detained Rajkumar Mypaksana around 5 p.m. while he was working as a housekeeping staffer at a local hotel. He had recently moved to Thalassery after responding to a job listing shared on social media.

Posing as public health workers conducting routine monsoon inspections, NIA agents identified Rajkumar Mypaksana through his Aadhaar card and a distinctive neck tattoo during an ID check at a workers’ hostel.

Hailing from Imphal, Rajkumar is linked to a case registered in Imphal as part of the broader Manipur riots probe.

During the arrest, officials recovered a fake passport, which Rajkumar Mypaksana allegedly attempted to use to leave the country via Tirur but failed. Despite his attempts to blend in with other northeastern workers, his movements over the past month were tracked across several districts before he settled in Manjodi, Thiruvangad.

Further interrogations and digital forensics are expected as the investigation continues.
