Dr. Saha said that the achievements of his administration would make for a comprehensive account if fully documented.

Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Thursday marked the completion of his three years in office by highlighting the strides his government has made across key sectors, including health, education, agriculture, and power.

Speaking at the valedictory session of the “Induction Training for Tripura Civil Service 2024 Batch” at Pragna Bhavan in Agartala, Saha reaffirmed his commitment to transparency and ongoing development, while acknowledging that certain areas still face challenges.

“The government is focusing on priority sectors like health, education, and sports. In all sectors, we are performing well, and the public is happy. That’s what I can say,” the Chief Minister told reporters.

Reflecting on his three-year journey, Saha noted how quickly time had passed due to the intense focus on governance and development. “I was just telling my officials how quickly these three years have gone by. We were all so deeply engaged in our responsibilities that it hardly felt like three years,” he said.

Dr. Saha said that the achievements of his administration would make for a comprehensive account if fully documented. “There’s no end to the work. In the coming days, we aim to fulfill more basic demands of the people through transparency. The credit for our success goes to the public. They are our source of inspiration and have shown unwavering confidence in the Prime Minister,” he added.

Dr. Saha took over as the 11th Chief Minister of Tripura on May 15, 2022, replacing Biplab Kumar Deb, who stepped down during his fourth year in office. This leadership change came after the BJP-IPFT alliance rose to power in 2018, ending the 25-year rule of the CPIM-led Left Front government.

Initially serving as the state BJP president, Saha won a by-election and began his second term as Chief Minister in March 2023, following the BJP’s return to power for a second consecutive term.
