A native of Ajarbari village in Hojai district, she completed her medical education at Tezpur Medical College.

Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu took to X to congratulate her, writing, “Heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Martina Tudu… A proud and inspiring milestone for the entire community.”
The Santal people are one of the largest indigenous communities in India, primarily found in Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, and Assam. Known for their distinct language, traditions, and cultural heritage, the Santals have historically faced socio-economic challenges. Dr. Tudu’s achievement is a beacon of hope and a symbol of progress for the community.
