Guwahati Shines in CBSE Results, Clinches 12th Spot Nationally in Class 12

CBSE Results: In the Class 10 results, Guwahati secured the 17th rank with a pass percentage of 84.14%, slightly behind Noida.

Guwahati has made a strong mark in the CBSE Class 12 board examination results announced today, earning the 12th position nationally with a commendable pass percentage of 83.62%.

This places the city just ahead of Dehradun, which recorded 83.45%. In the Class 10 results, Guwahati secured the 17th rank with a pass percentage of 84.14%, slightly behind Noida’s 89.41%.

On the national front, the overall pass percentage for Class 12 rose to 88.39% from last year’s 87.98%. Similarly, the Class 10 results saw a marginal increase to 93.60%, up by 0.06 percentage points from 2024.

Girls continued to outperform boys across the board. In Class 12, 91.64% of girls passed the exam, significantly ahead of boys at 85.70%.
And in Class 10, girls achieved a 95% pass rate, 2.37 percentage points higher than boys.

In a landmark development for inclusive education, third gender students recorded a 100% pass rate in Class 12, an extraordinary improvement from last year’s 50%.

This year, 1,11,544 Class 12 students scored above 90%, while 24,867 surpassed the 95%, showcasing academic excellence. However, over 1.29 lakh students were placed in the compartment category, underscoring the need for sustained academic support.

For Class 10, 23.85 lakh students appeared in the exams. Meanwhile, 16.92 lakh candidates appeared for the Class 12 exams nationwide.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated all students who passed the CBSE examinations, calling it the result of “determination, discipline, and hard work.”

He also encouraged those disappointed with their scores, stating, “One exam can never define you… Stay confident, stay curious, because great things await. #ExamWarriors”
