Shirui Lily Festival 2025: Governor Chairs Key Meeting, Special Bus Service from Imphal to Ukhrul Announced

Governor of Manipur, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, today chaired the second Organising Committee Meeting for the Shirui Lily Festival 2025 at the conference hall of Raj Bhavan, Imphal. The meeting focused on key aspects like budget allocation, event scheduling, security arrangements, transportation, crowd management, infrastructure development, accommodation, cultural programming, promotional strategies, and interdepartmental coordination to ensure the smooth execution of the festival.
The meeting was attended by the Chief Secretary, Director General of Police (DGP), commissioners, secretaries, the Secretary to the Governor, deputy commissioners (DCs) and superintendents of police (SPs) from Ukhrul and Kamjong districts, along with representatives from the festival’s organising committee.
As part of the preparations, Manipur State Transport (MST) will run a dedicated bus service from Imphal to Ukhrul from May 20 to 24, to facilitate travel for participants and visitors. Three buses will operate between ISBT, Imphal East, and Shirui Public Ground, Ukhrul, with the following schedule: MNO1BA-0408 will depart from ISBT at 7:00 AM and return from Shirui Public Ground at 1:30 PM, MNO1BA-0409 will leave at 8:00 AM and return at 2:00 PM, and MNO1BA-0070 will depart at 8:15 AM and return at 2:30 PM. The fare for each trip is Rs. 200.
