Operation Sindoor: India Bombs Terror Hotspots in Pakistan, No Room for Terrorism Says NE CMs

India did not just mourn the Pahalgam terror attack, it hit back with fire and fury. As the Indian Armed Forces destroyed 9 terror camps in Pakistan and PoK to rubble under ‘Operation Sindoor’ at midnight today, Chief Ministers from the Northeast echoed the nation’s resolve that there will be no safe haven for terror.

As per reports, the operation killed over 70 terrorists and left more than 60 wounded, dealing a devastating blow to the operational core of Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen.

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma took to X and wrote,”India remembers and India fights back. There is no room for terrorism. Jai Hind.”

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted:”जय हिन्द #OperationSindoor.”

Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu called it a moment of righteous reckoning.

“#OperationSindoor is not just a mission. It is a reflection of India’s values in action. A powerful moment of symbolism and strength,” CM Khandu tweeted.

Former Manipur CM N. Biren Singh, speaking for a wounded but resilient nation.

“The wounds of Pahalgam still ache, but today, justice has begun to answer. Jai Hind!,”N Biren Singh tweeted.

Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang paid tribute to both the armed forces and India’s soul:”Operation Sindoor stands as a powerful symbol of India’s resolve… Their courage protects our sovereignty and upholds the dignity of every Indian mother who wears sindoor with pride and freedom.”

Tripura CM Manik Saha saluted the protectors of the republic. He wrote, on X, “Saluting the heroes who defend our nation with pride. #OperationSindoor.”

The strikes came just hours ahead of a nationwide civil defence mock drill across 244 districts, signaling heightened preparedness amid ongoing threats. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has vowed to hunt down the perpetrators of the Pahalgam attack “to the ends of the earth” and deliver punishment “beyond their imagination.”

Planned over two weeks, Operation Sindoor was a precision strike designed to cripple Pakistan-based terror networks while avoiding military installations and civilian casualties. The 25-minute surgical offensive has sent a clear message: India will not tolerate terror on its soil.
