A day after the massive protest by over 10,000 workers employed under Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS), leaders of the All Mizoram CSS Employees Coordination Committee (AMCECC) on Thursday met Lalmuanpuia Punte, the Political Adviser to Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma, to press for the regularisation of their jobs under the state government.

As per inputs, the AMCECC leaders reiterated the long-standing issue of non-regularisation despite years of service and explained the challenges and insecurity they face as temporary employees.

In response, Political Adviser Punte assured the AMCECC that the Chief Minister is aware of their concerns and expressed the government’s willingness to engage in further discussions.

He further assured the leaders that a meeting with the Chief Minister would be arranged at an appropriate time to directly discuss their demands with CM Lalduhoma.

The AMCECC expressed optimism following the discussion, hoping that the government would soon arrive at a favourable decision for the employees.
