Assam: Girl Thrown Off Moving Bus After She Resists Rape Attempt, Massive Protests Erupt

After being thrown out, locals found her critically injured on the roadside and rushed her to the hospital for treatment.

A young girl narrowly escaped an alleged gang rape attempt inside a moving bus in Assam’s Sribhumi district.

The accused, including the driver and three other men, allegedly tried to assault and rape her. When she resisted, they threw her off the moving vehicle.

The girl had boarded the bus from Badarpurghat and was traveling to Chargola when the incident occurred. After being thrown out, locals found her critically injured on the roadside and rushed her to the hospital for treatment.

The incident has triggered widespread protests across Sribhumi, with various groups demanding immediate action and strict punishment for the accused.

A case has been registered, and police have launched an investigation.
