What should have been a simple entertainment announcement quickly turned into a meme fest, with netizens dragging Riyan Parag into the spotlight.

Why Is Riyan Parag Facing Online Mockery?

The trolling originates from a now-infamous livestream incident before IPL 2024, where an unintended and inappropriate search query related to Sara Ali Khan and Ananya Pandey flashed on Parag’s screen for the world to see.
The embarrassing moment went viral, and even though Parag later addressed the issue, the internet clearly has not forgotten.
Now, with Sara Ali Khan set to perform in his home state of Assam today, fans could not resist bringing up the past, flooding social media with hilarious memes.

While Parag has bigger things to focus on like captaining Rajasthan Royals in the absence of Sanju Samson the online jokes are not showing any signs of stopping.

Parag initially chose to stay silent but later addressed the controversy, revealing, “I finished the IPL, we were in Chennai, finished the match, got on a Discord call with my streaming team, and it got publicized now, but it happened before the IPL. One of the people in my Discord team tried to set me up before the IPL, but that got taken down very quickly. After the IPL, the hype was there, and I had a good season. I came and opened my stream, I didn’t have Spotify or Apple Music. Everything was deleted.”

With the RR vs CSK match on the horizon, all eyes will be on Riyan Parag both for his performance on the field and how he handles the online storm.
