Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma 31st Most Powerful Indian

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has been named among the 100 most powerful Indians, as per the list released by national daily The Indian Express. Sarma has been ranked 31st in the prestigious list that obviously has Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the top spot, followed by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in second place.

Foreign Minister S Jaishankar is placed fifth, reflecting his growing influence in international diplomacy.

Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has slipped significantly to the 52nd position, while Congress leader Rahul Gandhi remains at the ninth spot.

Himanta Biswa Sarma, the 15th Chief Minister of Assam, took office on May 10, 2021, succeeding Sarbananda Sonowal. Known for his dynamic leadership and impactful governance, Sarma’s growing influence at the national level has been widely acknowledged. His elevation from the 32nd to the 31st position highlights his increasing prominence in Indian politics.

Sarma’s inclusion among the most powerful Indians reaffirms his influential role not only in Assam but also in the national political landscape.
