Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez is all set to take the stage at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati on March 26, 2025, for a high-energy performance during the opening ceremony of the IPL match between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

Along with the RR vs. KKR match on March 26, the stadium will also be the venue for another high-profile encounter between Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on March 30.

Additionally, a significant change in the IPL schedule sees the KKR vs. Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) match, originally set for Kolkata, being moved to Guwahati on April 6 due to security concerns in Kolkata during the Ram Navami celebrations.

In another significant development, the Assam Cricket Association (ACA) has confirmed that Barsapara Stadium has been selected to host its first-ever Test match. In addition to this, Guwahati is set to host at least five matches during the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025, further solidifying the city’s place on the international cricket map.
