Former Manipur CM N Biren Singh Seeks Urgent Action to Rescue Missing Youth Mukesh

Former Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh has called for urgent intervention from all concerned authorities to rescue 20-year-old Luwangthem Mukesh, who has been missing since March 16. Expressing deep concern on X, N Biren Singh stated that the youth might have been abducted. He demanded that those responsible for the crime be identified and given exemplary punishment to ensure justice.
On Friday, an eight-member delegation from the Joint Action Committee (JAC) for the missing L. Mukesh met Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla at the Raj Bhavan in Imphal. The delegation discussed ongoing efforts to locate Mukesh and ensure his safe return to his family.
During the meeting, Governor Bhalla urged Mukesh’s family to wait until Sunday, assuring them that he would prioritize efforts to find the missing youth. He emphasized that all necessary steps were being taken to trace his whereabouts.
Mukesh left home on March 16 with only Rs. 250 to buy some materials but never returned. His sudden disappearance has caused widespread concern, prompting demands for swift action from both authorities and the public.
