Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s much-awaited three-hour podcast with renowned US-based podcaster and AI researcher Lex Fridman is set to be released today, March 16, at 5:30 pm. The podcast will cover a wide range of topics, including PM Modi’s childhood memories, his years in the Himalayas, and his journey in public life.

Fridman, known for his deep conversations with global leaders and experts, described the podcast with PM Modi as “one of the most powerful” of his life. Taking to social media, he called it an “epic exchange” and expressed excitement about sharing the episode.

“I had an epic 3-hour podcast conversation with @narendramodi, Prime Minister of India. It was one of the most powerful conversations of my life. It’ll be out tomorrow,” Fridman posted on X.

Reacting to the post, PM Modi responded, “It was indeed a fascinating conversation with @lexfridman, covering diverse topics including reminiscing about my childhood, the years in the Himalayas, and the journey in public life.”

In January, Fridman had announced his plans to visit India and record the podcast. Calling PM Modi “one of the most fascinating human beings” he has studied, Fridman said he was eager to explore India’s rich culture and history.

“I will be doing a podcast with Narendra Modi (@narendramodi), Prime Minister of India, at the end of February. I’ve never been to India, so I’m excited to finally visit and experience many facets of its vibrant, historic culture and its amazing people as fully as I can,” he wrote.

Fridman also revealed that he planned to undertake a 48 to 72-hour fast before the conversation, inspired by PM Modi’s long spiritual fasts.

Lex Fridman’s Rise to Fame
Lex Fridman, a Russian-origin American computer scientist and AI researcher, was born in 1983 in present-day Tajikistan and raised in Moscow. His family moved to the US when he was a child.

Fridman studied computer science at Drexel University in Philadelphia, where his interest in AI and machine learning took root. He completed his Master’s and PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Drexel, focusing on human-centered AI.

After his PhD, Fridman joined MIT, where he worked on AI-driven autonomous vehicles, studying how AI can predict and respond to human actions. Elon Musk praised his 2019 MIT study on Tesla’s semi-autonomous driving system, which helped cement his reputation in the AI field.

In 2018, Fridman launched the Lex Fridman Podcast, which quickly gained popularity. His guests have included major figures like Elon Musk, Donald Trump, Mark Zuckerberg, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and Noam Chomsky. He has over 4.5 million YouTube subscribers and a strong following across social media platforms.

The upcoming podcast is expected to offer rare insights into PM Modi’s life and thoughts. Given Fridman’s reputation for deep, insightful conversations, this episode is already generating significant buzz.
