Death of Budding Sportsperson in Assam: Mystery surrounds the death of Shantanu Pratim Das, a budding sportsperson from Jamugurihat in Assam‘s Sonitpur district. Initially, it was believed that Shantanu had died in a road accident. However, a detailed police investigation has revealed shocking new details.
According to the police, Shantanu was hit by a passenger vehicle while returning home on March 8. Shockingly, his neighbour and close friend, Nipu Das, was driving the vehicle at the time of the incident.
Death of Budding Sportsperson in Assam
Instead of rushing Shantanu to the hospital, Nipu Das fled from the spot, leaving him critically injured. At the time of the accident, Nipu was accompanied by two of his close associates.
The police have now intensified the investigation to determine the circumstances that led to the incident. Sources have revealed that the police are also exploring the possibility of murder.
