Wild Elephant Tramples Man to Death in Assam’s Kaliabor, 4th Death in 3 Weeks

In yet another tragic incident of human-elephant conflict, a man was trampled to death by a wild elephant in Kaliabor, Assam, today.

The deceased has been identified as Praveen Basumatary, a resident of Rahdhala village.

As per reports, Praveen was on his way to his field when he was attacked by the elephant killing him on the spot.

Notably, this marks the fourth such death in the region in the past 3 weeks.

The rising cases of elephant attacks have sparked concern among locals, with the forest department intensifying its warnings.

Officials have been using loudspeakers to alert residents and urging them to remain cautious.
