The restrictions will be in effect from March 3, until the completion of the work, between 11:30 PM and 4:30 AM daily.
In view of the upcoming superstructure work, including the launching and erection of a steel girder for the flyover near Downtown Hospital on G.S. Road, the Guwahati Traffic Police have announced major traffic diversions.
The restrictions will be in effect from March 3, until the completion of the work, between 11:30 PM and 4:30 AM daily. These diversions aim to ensure public safety, especially for vulnerable road users such as children, students, women, senior citizens, and differently-abled persons. As per the new traffic plan, the movement of all vehicles on GS Road between Six Mile Flyover and Downtown (both tracks) will be restricted from 11:30 PM to 4:30 AM daily. Vehicles coming from Khanapara towards VIP Road, Panjabari Road, and Jayanagar Road may ply as usual via the service road of Six Mile Flyover.

Traffic coming from Ganeshguri towards Khanapara will be diverted at Supermarket Flyover towards Last Gate and must take the Beltola-Basistha Road.
Vehicles heading from Ganeshguri towards Downtown or Six Mile will need to take the service road of the Supermarket Flyover and follow the route via Downtown Bylane, Dwarka Path, and Ananda Nagar Path. Similarly, vehicles coming from Last Gate towards Downtown may take the service road of the Supermarket Flyover and proceed via Downtown Bylane.
Vehicles from Purbanchal Path, Sun Valley Bylane, and Downtown Bylane will not be allowed to enter GS Road and must take Dwarka Path or Ananda Nagar Path to reach Six Mile or use Hengrabari Road and Swahid Dilip Hujuri Path to reach Dispur.
