Assam to Get Integrated Film City At Rs 2000 Cr, To Produce Films in 120 Languages

Assam is all set to become a major hub for filmmaking with the GVR group signing an MoU to invest Rs 2000 crore and build an integrated film city in the outskirts of Guwahati.

Designed to be more advanced than Hyderabad’s Film City, this project aims to revolutionise filmmaking in India with the use of AI technoloigies.

One of its standout features will be a multi-language studio capable of producing films in 120 languages, catering to diverse audiences.

The film city is expected to generate employment for over 5,000 people, significantly boosting the local economy.

The ambitious project is set to be completed within two years, transforming Assam into a key destination for film production.

With cutting-edge infrastructure and global-standard amenities, the GVR Film City will not only promote regional cinema but also attract national and international filmmakers.

GVR Film City, Managing Director said, “We are poised to transform the film production sector by harnessing the power of cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence (AI).”
