Assam Creates History with Record-Breaking Jhumoir Dance Performance at Sarusajai Stadium

Assam has once again etched its name in history with a spectacular and record-breaking Jhumoir dance performance at Sarusajai Stadium in Guwahati this evening.

Over 8,000 artists from the tea tribe community came together for ‘Jhumoir Nandini,’ a breathtaking display of cultural heritage that commemorated 200 years of Assam’s tea industry.

The grand performance, witnessed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and leading business personalities attending the Advantage Assam 2.0 summit, showcased the rich traditions and unity of the tea tribe community.

The meticulously choreographed routine, set to the beats of traditional folk instruments, left the audience spellbound.

A Historic Milestone for Assam Jhumoir, a folk dance deeply embedded in Assam’s cultural fabric, was performed in perfect synchronization by thousands of dancers, marking an unparalleled moment in the state’s history. The event not only highlighted the artistic brilliance of the performers but also reinforced Assam’s commitment to preserving and promoting its indigenous traditions.
