EAM Jaishankar to Arrive in Assam Today with High Commissioners of 49 Nations for Historic Jhumur Performance and Advantage Assam 2.0

Industrial tycoons Gautam Adani, Mukesh Ambani and others will arrive in Assam on February 25.
External Affairs Minister (EAM) S. Jaishankar, along with High Commissioners and Ambassadors from 49 countries will arrive at Jorhat Airport in Assam this evening on a special flight from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.
The high-profile delegation will be in Assam to witness a grand Jhumur dance performance – Jhumoir Binandini, at Sarusajai Stadium tomorrow and attend the two-day (February 25-26) Advantage Assam 2.0-Investment and Infrastructure Summit 2025 to be held in Khanapara.
After landing at Jorhat Airport this evening, the delegation will proceed to Kaziranga, where they will stay at the Royal De Cassa Hotel tonight.
Tomorrow morning, they will enjoy an elephant safari at the world-renowned Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its one-horned rhinoceroses.
After their wildlife excursion, they will return to Jorhat Airport and take a chartered flight to Guwahati to attend the summit.
Prime Minister Modi will arrive in Guwahati tomorrow (February 24) and attend the Jhumoir Binandini event at 6 PM. The Prime Minister will inaugurate the Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit 2025 on February 25.
Meanwhile, industrial tycoons Gautam Adani, Mukesh Ambani, Anil Agarwal, Sajjan Jindal and his mother Savitri Jindal, the richest woman of India, and N Chandrasekaran, several other prominent business leaders will arrive in Assam on February 25 on separate private planes to participate in the Advantage Assam 2.0-Investment and Infrastructure Summit 2025 the same day.
The business tycoons will attend key sessions and discussions at the summit before flying back in the evening.
The two-day summit is designed to highlight Assam as a prime investment destination, fostering economic opportunities and infrastructural growth in the region.
With a mix of diplomatic engagement, cultural exhibition, and business collaboration, Assam is poised to take centre stage in global economic and cultural dialogues over the next two days.
It may be mentioned here that after the historic achievement of entering the Guinness Book of World Records with the Bihu dance by 11,010 Bihu dancers or ‘nasonis’ and drummers or ‘dhuliyas’ last year, the Assam Government is now all set to achieve another record-breaking feat with ‘Jhumoir Binandini’ a Jhumur performance by over 8000 artists from the tea tribe community of the state at the Sarusajai Stadium in Guwahati tomorrow.
