A man went missing after he reportedly fell into a lake in Assam’s Nagaon district on Sunday evening.
The incident occurred in Hatimura, Jakhalabandha, where the man lost control of his motorcycle, broke through the embankment, and plunged into the water.
Upon receiving information, police arrived at the scene along with a team from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and immediately launched a search operation to locate the missing individual.
During the operation, the SDRF team recovered the man’s motorcycle and a shoe, believed to belong to the missing person. However, despite extensive efforts, there has been no sign of the individual so far.
Preliminary reports suggest that the person may have been returning from a picnic spot near Hatimura when the accident took place.
The identity of the missing person remains unknown, and further details are awaited as search efforts continue.
