The second season of Paatal Lok, one of the most anticipated web series of 2025 has a lot from the Northeast. You will see national award winning Assamese film director Jahnu Barua and popular singer from Nagaland, Alobo Naga in action.

The series that is now playing on Amazon Prime has been extensively shot in Nagaland and is based on a fictitious Naga leader, played by Jahnu Barua, and murder of a Nagaland minister.

Alobo Naga plays the character of a cop in the series. Two more artistes from Nagaland – Merenla Imsong plays Rose Lizo, a fugitive and LC Shekhose plays Rueben Thom, the dead man’s son.

The season follows Hathi Ram Chaudhary (Jaideep Ahlawat) and Imran as they investigate the murder of a Nagaland minister and a missing immigrant worker.

The two cases are linked, and the investigation leads them to Nagaland, which is in the midst of political turmoil.

The season also explores the dark secrets of the people involved, including the drug empire run by the victim, and a mysterious sniper.
