Railway Contractor Kidnapped and Killed in Assam’s Karbi Anglong

In a shocking incident, a railway contractor has been kidnapped and killed in Assam’s Karbi Anglong district.
The incident has been reported from Borlangpher in Karbi Anglong.
The railway contractor has been identified as Ratan Dutta.
As per inputs, Dutta was abducted from Barlangpher on the night of December 19.
After an extensive police search, his body was found today in the remote Daldali forest area today.
Initially, police suspected that surrendered militants of Dimasa National Liberation Army (DNLA) were involved in the abduction and murder. Accordingly, police launched an investigation and after investigation and interrogation, police arrested 6 individuals including a surrendered DNLA militant named Sanasing.
The body of the deceased has been sent to Diphu Medical College & Hospital for post-mortem. Police have stated that the motive behind the kidnapping and murder appears to be personal.
