One Dead, Two Injured in Head-On Collision Between Bike and Truck in Tripura

The deceased, identified as Sukanta Hazari (30), was a resident of the Kalsi area.
One person was killed while two others were critically injured in a tragic road accident in South Tripura on Sunday.
The accident occurred on the Sabroom-Agartala National Highway near Kalsirmukh under the Shantir Bazar sub-division in South Tripura district when a motorcycle and a goods truck collided head-on.
According to reports, a bike carrying three riders collided with a goods truck heading towards Jolai Bari from Baikhora.
The bike riders were travelling from Kalsi towards Baikhora.
Eyewitnesses said that the goods truck lost control and overturned after the collision. All three riders were thrown onto the highway due to the impact of the collision.
The truck driver fled the scene immediately after the accident.
One of them died on the spot.
Locals immediately rushed the injured to a nearby hospital.
The deceased, identified as Sukanta Hazari (30), was a resident of the Kalsi area.
The two injured individuals, Amal Debnath (27) and Korn Das (32), are also from Kalsi.
Soon after receiving information, police personnel from Baikhora Police Station reached the spot and launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.
