Lyngdoh stressed her dedication to the NPP and made it clear she would not entertain any discussions about rejoining the Congress.

National Peoples Party (NPP) leader and Meghalaya Cabinet Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh has reiterated her unwavering commitment to the NPP while dismissing speculations about a possible return to the Congress. Reflecting on her departure from the Congress, Lyngdoh stated that the party had failed to meet the needs and suggestions of its members in a democratic manner, prompting her exit.

“I had foreseen members leaving because the Congress wasn’t addressing issues democratically,” Lyngdoh said. She added that the party’s inability to value its members’ inputs created an environment where exits were inevitable.

Clarifying her position, Lyngdoh stressed her dedication to the NPP and made it clear she would not entertain any discussions about rejoining the Congress. “I am fully committed to the NPP and will focus on my role in governance rather than getting distracted by rumors of political changes,” she stated.

Lyngdoh, who is one and a half years into her current term, urged everyone to let the government complete its work instead of engaging in electoral speculation. She expressed frustration with the distractions caused by baseless rumours and emphasised the need for undivided attention toward governance.
