Final Rites of 10 Armed Men Killed in Jiribam on Nov 11 to be Performed on Dec 5

One CRPF jawan was injured when the armed miscreants attacked the CRPF men. The CRPF retaliated leaving 10 armed miscreants dead.

In a big development, Kuki-Zomi-Hmar Civil bodies have agreed to conduct the burial of the 10 armed men, who were killed during the shootout with CRPF in Jiribam on November 11 on December 5, almost 24 days after they were killed.

The Kuki-Zomi-Hmar Civil bodies have agreed to conduct the burial at the Peace Ground in Churachandpur.

The remains of the 10 armed men and 2 others who died during the fresh violence since November 7 in Jiribam, are kept at the district hospital in Churachnadpur.

The ITLF in a public notice today stated that the CSOs held an emergency meeting today.

The CSOs have agreed to accept the post-mortem report after examination by forensic and legal experts and initiation of further legal cases by ITLF Legal Cell and HSA.

The funeral program will be held at Tuibong Peace Ground on 5th December and the public will stage a silent rally on the 4th. The bodies will be carried from Ngurte up to the Public Ground, where they will be received and carried to the Peace Ground.
