In what can be called as a major feat, Doramontie Rangsa Nelleman from Tura, Meghalaya, successfully participated in the renowned New York City Marathon in the United States. This event is one of the oldest and most prestigious marathons in the world, attracting top athletes globally.

Nelleman joined tens of thousands of runners who took to the streets of one of the world’s most iconic cities for the celebrated race. The marathon commenced on Staten Island on Sunday, with participants navigating through the vibrant neighbourhoods of New York City and showcasing their endurance.

This year’s edition featured over 50,000 runners, including a handful of well-known celebrities, making it a grand spectacle. The New York City Marathon, first held in 1970, has steadily grown in stature over the decades and remains one of the most esteemed race events, with accolades awaiting its champions.
