At Rs 1.2 Crore, 19-year-old Gyamar Nikum of Arunachal Tops ISL’s Most Valuable Under-21 Players List

Proud moment for Arunachal Pradesh. Football player from the state, Gyamar Nikum has topped the list of Indian Super League (ISL)’s most valuable Under-21 players for 2024-25 season.

With a market value of an impressive Rs 1.2 crore, 19-year-old Gyamar Nikum’s meteoric rise in Indian football is a testament to his exceptional talent and hard work.

Nikum’s achievement not only highlights his prowess but also emphasizes the growing influence of Arunachal Pradesh in the national sports arena.

Congratulating Nikum, Chief Ministert Pema Khandu took to X and wrote, “Star of Arunachal Pradesh! So pleasing to learn that Gyamar Nikum has topped the chart of most valuable Under-21 players for 2024/25 season of the @IndSuperLeague. Nikum’s achievement shows the immense talent youth of our State possess. Keep it up! Excel further in the world of soccer!.”

Born 26 October 2004, Gyamar Nikum plays as a midfielder for I-League club Inter Kashi, on loan from ISL club Mumbai City.

Nikum is one of the youngest players and the first from Arunachal Pradesh in history to be selected and debut in the I-League Qualifiers, at the age of 16 years and 359 days.
