Sikkim: 4 Army Men Die After Their Vehicle Falls 800 Ft Down in Pakyong

The accident occurred at Vertical Veer, near Dalopchand Dara along the Rhenock Rongli state highway.
In a tragic road accident in Sikkim’s Pakyong district, four Army personnel have lost their lives after their vehicle plunged 800 feet down at Vertical Veer, near Dalopchand Dara along the Rhenock Rongli state highway.
The vehicle, an ALS Stallion, was plying from Padong, West Bengal, to Zuluk in Sikkim when it skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge at least 800 feet below.
The deceased have been identified as Sepoy Pradeep Patel from Madhya Pradesh (driver), Craftsmen (CFN) W. Peter from Imphal, Naik (NK) Gursev Singh from Haryana and Subedar K. Thangapandi from Tamil Nadu.
All personnel were members of the EMC unit based in Binagury, West Bengal.
