The Assam state Election Commission has called for holding panchayat elections in the state by December end while maintaining that the entire process must be completed within the first week
The Assam state Election Commission has called for holding panchayat elections in the state by December end while maintaining that the entire process must be completed within the first week of January 2019.
The election commission move came following a directive issued by the Gauhati High court.
The election commission will issue gazette notification in this regard in the last week of October.
