St Paul’s Institute in Churachandpur achieves 95% pass percentage in HS Results 2024, rated as one of the highest in Guwahati Zone

A total of 186 students of the Institute appeared for the Higher Secondary examination.

Despite the violence and difficulties and hard situations, St Paul’s Institute in Churachandpur, Manipur managed to achieve 95 percent success rate in the recently announced Higher Secondary (Class XII) 2024 results under the CBSE board. The school is rated as one of the highest in the Guwahati zone which achieved 82.6 percentage.

A total 186 students had appeared for the Higher Secondary examination.
Speaking to Northeast Live, the principal of the school, DL Muan stated that they were able to achieve this success due to the incredible teachers of the institute who worked tirelessly despite the time constraint in covering the syllabus.

Principal DL Muan said, “First of all, I would like to say that I have incredible teachers who have been very committed to watch the education of the children and I also have an incredible support from the parents’ community. Inspite of all the troubles we have been facing, with the closure of schools for over 4 months, it has been very difficult and the students have been struggling a lot.“

“I can only say that it is only by the grace of God and the incredible support I get from the parents as well as the teachers that has led to such success”, he added.

While elaborating about the difficulties faced by the students, principal DL Muan said, “Its been very difficult, the students have been struggling a lot both emotionally and academically. But somehow we have managed to secure the 95% pass percentage. We are very happy with the results.”

The school was closed for about 4 months from May to August last year due to ethnic clashes that had erupted in the state. The school was also used as relief centre for about 11 months by the internally displaced persons.

Suanlianthang, a teacher in the Institute, said that they have put in extra hard work by taking extra classes and smart class using the available IT.

He expressed that they have gone through a very difficult period of time specially in the field of education. In order to achieve the 95% pass percentage, the teachers have also struggled a lot as their task was to cover the syllabus within a very short time.
