81.16% voter turnout recorded in repolling in 6 polling stations of Outer Manipur LS seat

A voter turnout of 81.16 per cent was recorded till 5 pm at the six polling stations in Outer Manipur Lok Sabha seat, where repolling was held on Tuesday.

Repoll was held at 4 polling stations of the Ukhrul assembly segment and one each of Chingai and Karong assembly segment. The polling stations include 20 Shangshak, 36, 41 and 50 Ukhrul, 14 Chingai and 33 Oinam.
The Election Commission of India had declared the polls conducted at these six polling stations as void and announced fresh elections. EVM vandalism, threat and intimidation by unknown miscreants were reported at these Polling Stations on the voting day.
Around 76.06% of 4.84 lakh voters exercised their franchise during polling in 13 of 28 Assembly segments of Outer Manipur Lok Sabha constituency on April 26.
Voting for the 15 Assembly segments of Outer Manipur seat was held on April 19.
